ENGLISH VERSION:

The “Siete Lagos” (Seven Lakes) route is worldwide known for its unique beauty and appealing viewpoints. This route links Machónico, Falkner, Villarino, Escondido, Correntoso, Espejo and Nahuel Huapi lakes. Though the Lacar lake is not regarded as part of the Seven Lakes, it is also included on the way of the route. All of these lakes are the result of the glacial metamorphosis which took place in the region millions of years ago.
The excursion covers the Siete Lagos route, going from Villa La Angostura to San Martin de los Andes. Both the time available and physical conditions of the tripper will determine the length of the excursion. It approximately takes 3 to 4 days to cover the total distance.
The equipment (alternative) consists of a 24 - gear aluminium bike, disk brake, saddlebags, elements for cooking, sleeping bag, tent, insulator, back luggage rack, helmet, back and front light, tools and spare parts.
The alternative of a mountain bike guide for assistance during the excursion is also available.
The tripper should remove the equipment in Villa La Angostura and can finally give it back in San Martin de los Andes.
